  • Build Number & Modem Firmware iOS 27 Beta 2 ships with build 24A5370H. Modem firmware updates to 2.08.08.01 on iPhone 17 models, potentially improving connectivity and cellular reliability.
  • Optimizing Search in Siri The old “Indexing in Progress” message has been renamed to Optimizing Search in Siri, providing a clearer explanation of what the device is doing after an update.
  • Lock Screen Now Playing Fixed The Now Playing widget on the Lock Screen can once again reappear after being dismissed, fixing one of the more annoying bugs found in Beta 1.
  • Liquid Glass Improvements Apple refined the Liquid Glass effect throughout iOS 27. Background content now appears sharper and more detailed behind translucent interface elements.
  • Apple TV Updates Through Home App Users can now update Apple TV software directly from the Home app on iPhone, bringing Apple TV management closer to HomePod integration.
  • Major Siri Interface Changes Siri receives multiple refinements including a smaller Dynamic Island animation, updated menus, faster responses, and the new Siri AI Beta branding throughout Settings.

  • Additional System Refinements Reminders, Passwords, Privacy settings, iPhone Mirroring, keyboard interactions, grammar correction tools, and various interface elements have all received usability improvements.
  • Performance & Battery Early testing suggests smoother overall performance than Beta 1, particularly with Siri responsiveness. Battery life appears similar to Beta 1 so far, though longer testing is required.
